
Washoe Police Officer Kristin Burtt is an enrolled member of the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California. She is the daughter of Sharon James, Washoe, and Patrick Burtt Sr., Tule River Yokut.
Burtt is dedicated to her career in law enforcement and she previously worked in child protective services for the best interest of Indian Children. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor of General Studies specializing in Criminal Justice.
Currently she serves as a Police Officer for the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California. Since becoming POST certified, Burtt has completed the Child and Adolescent Forensic Interviewing FBI curriculum and she is now a Baton Training Instructor and a Police Training Officer.
