Future leader, Delina Trottier
Delina Trottier is a Nehiyow Iskwew (Plains Cree Woman) from the Treaty 6 Territories. She has made her home on the Pyramid Lake Reservation for the last 9 years. Throughout these years she has developed a deep love and admiration for the lake, the land, and the people.
Delina wears many hats, she is a mother of two, an extinguished beadwork artist, a Grammy Nominated (2019) Powwow/Rounddance Back-up Singer, she is a university student and currently the Native American Student Advocate at the Truckee Meadows Community College. In the past Delina has worked for the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe as a Human Resources Generalist and HR Assistant.
Delina graduated from TMCC in May 2021 with her Associate of Arts with Emphasis in Psychology and has since transferred to UNR to complete her Bachelors Degree. Over the years Delina has found joy in working with and for her people. As a new member of the Indian Education Advisory Committee, she is honored to join a team of like minded individuals with the same goal. Supporting and empowering Indigenous students to reach their full educational potential.
